Jasmine Topić was born on August 4th 1977. She graduated from the Department of Serbian Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philology of Belgrade University. She has published the following books: Sunflowers. Portrait for the day (Zajednica knjizevnika Pančeva, 1997), Boarding house. Metamorphoses (Centar za stvaralaštvo mladih Beograd, 2001), Romanticism (Narodna knjiga – Alfa, 2005), A Quiet Renewal of Summer (Povelja, Kraljevo, 2007) and While someone gently is whispering our names (Edicija ,,Najbolja”, Pancevo, 2012). She writes book reviews and occasionally publishes short stories – published in books Project Cortasar (Povelja, 2003) and Lexicon of God's people ( Službeni glasnik Beograd, 2010). For her collection of poetry Boarding House. Metamorphoses, she received the "Matic's Scarf" award in 2002. for the best book of poetry. In 2008. she stayed in Vienna as the recipient of a literary grant provided by the Austrian KulturKontakt. She edits A Collection of poetry and short fiction by young authors from the former Yugoslavia "Manuscripts" and co-edits the art periodical Kvartal from Pančevo. Apart from the books that she has published, she has also produced a multimedia presentation of her book A Quiet Renewal of Summer, consisting of 10 poetic spots in Serbian and English. During 2008. she was writing columns for internet portal Air Beletrina and cooperates with daily newspaper "Dnevnik" from Ljubljana since 2006.
