Sarah Wetzel

Sarah Wetzel, poet and engineer, is the author of Bathsheba Transatlantic, which won the Philip Levine Prize for Poetry and was published in 2010. After job-hopping across Europe and the Americas, Sarah currently teaches literature at The American University of Rome, dividing time between Manhattan, Rome, and Tel Aviv, Israel. Sarah holds an engineering degree from Georgia Tech and a MBA from Berkeley. More importantly for her poetry, Sarah completed a MFA in Creative Writing at Bennington College in January 2009. Recent publications can be found in Nimrod, Identity Theory, Valparaiso, Superstition Review, and Calyx.

Poète et ingénieur, Sarah Wetzel est l’auteur du recueil Bathsheba Transatlantic, qui a remporté le prix de poésie Philip Levine et a été publié en 2010. Après avoir exercé plusieurs métiers à travers l’Europe et les Amériques, elle enseigne actuellement la littérature à l’université américaine de Rome, partageant son temps entre Manhattan, Rome et Tel Aviv, en Israël. Elle détient un diplôme d’ingénieur de Georgia Tech et un MBA de l’université de Berkeley. Sa poésie a surtout bénéficié du MFA en Creative Writing qu’elle a obtenu de l’université de Bennington en janvier 2009.
